A clearer path when software changes
Software can disappear. The work you need to do doesn’t.
ReplaceScout exists to help people find trustworthy replacements when a product or feature they rely on is discontinued. The aim is practical: understand what changed, identify what still needs to get done, and find an option that fits.
Built around a decision
A useful replacement guide should help you choose your next step. That means explaining platform support, capabilities, costs, limitations, and the work involved in moving. A familiar product name alone is not enough.
Evidence comes before a recommendation
We publish guides after checking relevant sources and documenting the basis for each option. Published guides distinguish documented capabilities from hands-on testing; unfinished drafts are excluded from production.
Our methodology describes the standard we intend to apply to each published guide.
A focused beginning
ReplaceScout is starting with software replacement guides. Over time, the same approach can cover individual features, apps, online services, and APIs. We will expand the library as verified guides are ready.
